This semester, students will critically evaluate Spotify’s official “I Love NYC” playlist as part of our journey to analyze how New York is represented in and produced by literature and other media. Reading songs as we would poetry or prose, students will apply theoretical frameworks to selections from the playlist while also considering the implications of Spotify’s curated content at large.
